Congratulations! You've walked into your classroom and you have been upgraded to a TV display! First thought... "Now what??"

No worries. If you are having connection or sound trouble, check these few possible solutions out.

Remote

Every TV will come with a remote, as seen below. The main buttons used for your display TV are Power, Source, Volume Toggle, and Mute.

Power

Once your display is on it should look like the background of either your lock screen or home screen, like the picture of the screen at the top of this page. If your device connected to your display is not on, it may look like the screen below.

Source and Signals

If your device is on and you still are seeing the screen above, press the Source button on the remote at the top right. Every time you press Source, it will shuffle through available sources. If there is No Signal it will display as above. The source signal your device will be through is one of the HDMI sources.

If you still are unable to locate a signal source try:

1. Make sure your adapter and HDMI cables are securely inserted into the display ports on your device and display.  (See below)

2. With your cables connected and secured. Restart your device.

If your device goes to sleep it will disrupt the signal being sent to your display.

Volume

Once you are able to see your display, check the volume settings.  Using the Volume toggle on the remote ensure your volume is up.

Note: You will control your volume from your tv and not your device. Also, your audio will no longer be sent through the headphone cable. Your HDMI cable sends audio and visual signal.
